Sunny days always inspire me. Especially after months of never-ending rain. Last weekend I found myself with a bit of free time, and decided to use it to go shopping. But, being me, I only went to two stores: Buffalo Exchange and Value Village. At Value Village I picked out two shirts and decided to get a little crafty with them. Here's how I cut them.
I started by trying on this shirt with my favorite pair of high-waisted shorts. Using the waistline of the shorts, I marked about where I wanted my shirt to end in the front and in the back. Then I drew a straight line across the shirt with a pencil.
Using the straight line as a base line, I cut the edge in a rounded shape.
Then trimmed the rugged edges.
Finally, I cut out a wide V-neck, and wa-la!
I think this cute shirt is just perfect for pairing with these worn light wash high-waisted shorts.
The next shirt I decided to cut up was this San Francisco tee. I've never been to San Francisco, but I loved the graphic anyways.
I first turned the shirt inside out and just followed the seam to cut off the arms.
Then I cut the arm holes a little bit bigger.
And I ended up with this San Francisco muscle tee, once again perfect for pairing with high-waisted shorts!
